Chief Jeff Watts began working for the Stillwater Police Department in September of 1991. He served as a patrol officer for many years before promotion to patrol sergeant. Watts served as a training sergeant and a Criminal Investigations Division (CID) sergeant prior to promotion of CID Commander. He obtained both his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and master’s degree in leadership from Mid-America Christian University and is a graduate of the 2015 FBI National Police Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Chief Watts was selected as the Stillwater Police Department Chief of Police on January 25, 2019.
