Donate

We always appreciate donations. Our biggest need is cleaning supplies, because we are constantly cleaning. We have an Amazon Wish List and a Walmart Wish List, so you can purchase items online and have them sent straight to us!

  • Donate with PayPal
  • Bleach and laundry detergent
  • Large black trash bags
  • Newspaper and puppy pads
  • Small blankets and towels (used or new)
  • Dog and cat treats
  • Sturdy dog toys
  • Slip leads for dogs
  • Cat litter
  • Kuranda beds
  • Paper towels
  • Mop heads
  • Used or new dog houses

Animal Welfare accepts donated dog houses and gives them to the public for free, for folks who need one for their outside dog. In the winter, we rely on donations of straw, which we also distribute to the public to help keep their outdoor animals warm. If you want to donate an old dog house, call us to arrange a time to bring it to the shelter! Thank you for donating to help a local animal in need!

Fostering

We have started our own foster program since rescues are drowning in puppies as well. This will also help keep puppies and shyer dogs out of the shelter and in loving homes while they grow and develop. Interested? Email us at animalwelfare@stillwaterok.gov. You can foster one puppy or seven! Any help will make a difference.

Volunteering

Volunteers Needed Animal Welfare

We always need volunteers to walk the dogs, play with the cats and generally help socialize our animals. It's an easy and rewarding way to make a difference. Our dogs will walk rain or shine, so if you are willing, they are ready to go!

We accept volunteers Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Community service hours are available.

Spay or Neuter Your Pets

We get calls every day about accidental litters and they can easily be prevented by spaying and neutering! Need financial assistance to do this? Stop by our shelter and we can get you a Companion Animal Assistance Program (CAAP) form that will help you with the cost.
