Stillwater Energy Center

The Stillwater Energy Center (SEC) is located on 15 acres along Airport Road in Stillwater and officially began generating electricity for Stillwater customers on July 16, 2016. The 56-megawatt, high-efficiency power station can generate enough electricity to serve 56,000 homes.

Construction on the $70 million power station began in July 2015. At the peak of the work, more than 175 workers were on site. The project was completed on schedule and under budget. The completed station employs 20 people.

Stillwater Energy Center is the most efficient simple-cycle power plant in Oklahoma. Electric customers will benefit from high power reliability and environmentally friendly state-of-the-art technologies that produce minimal emissions and adapt to future advancements in the renewable energy market.
