Councilor Christie Hawkins

Christie grew up in Woodward, Oklahoma, and has lived in Stillwater since coming to OSU as a freshman in 1983. Christie holds a Bachelors in Secondary Education / Mathematics, a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction and a Ph.D. in Research, Evaluation, Measurement & Statistics, all from Oklahoma State University. Christie was a high school math instructor for 10 years at Perkins-Tryon High School prior to coming to work at OSU in 1999.

Her roles over her 20+ years at OSU began as an analyst in both Institutional Research and Budget and teaching as an adjunct instructor for the College of Education and Human Sciences for five years. 

She has served as Director of Institutional Research and Analytics since 2004 and as Associate Vice-President for Administration and Finance since 2014. A self-proclaimed data geek, Christie always enjoys analyzing, discussing and educating others in the use of data and information for decision making.

In her spare time, Christie enjoys being outdoors, exercising and trying new recipes.
