The Stillwater City Council appointed Councilor Amy Dzialowski as Vice Mayor on January 23, 2023. She was elected as Councilor on May 14, 2018, and sworn into office on June 4, 2018. Vice Mayor Dzialowski was elected uncontested in December 2019 and again in January 2023. She will serve a four-year term.
Amy is currently a project director and urban planner with SCS Engineers, a national engineering and consulting company. She has a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and a master's degree in urban planning, both from the University of Kansas.
She and her family moved to Stillwater in 2007 and immediately fell in love and immersed themselves in the community. She found a niche for community involvement and service through creating opportunities and advocating for children living with special needs.
Since 2008, she has served on the board of Mya's Promise and has also served as the board's president. Their work has focused on early childhood opportunities for children with special needs through scholarship and grant awards to families, community grants, outreach programs and community partnerships.
In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and reading. She can often be found in the kitchen with family and friends baking or chocolate making.
