Commercial Customers

We provide regular, ongoing trash collection for all types of businesses and multifamily residences, including dumpsters, within Stillwater and for three miles outside city limits. We also offer recycling for cardboard.

Collection is generally between 6 am and 2:30 pm, including holidays.

Unacceptable Materials

  • Hazardous materials (paint, oils, antifreeze, batteries, pesticides, etc.)
  • Construction and demolition materials, including concrete, bricks and drywall
  • Appliances
  • Tires
  • Yard waste and sod
  • Rocks, gravel and dirt
  • Metal

Dumpster Instructions

We must approve the location of your dumpster and any change in location. To ensure collection on your designated collection day, make sure your container is ready before 6 am, easily accessible and available for collection.

Missed Service

If you feel that we have missed your commercial dumpster collection, call (405) 742-8245. We'll make every effort to return on the same day or the next business day to remedy the situation.

If we return to empty your container for something other than missed service, an additional return trip charge will apply.

Illegal Dumping

If you are a City of Stillwater commercial trash services and a victim of illegal dumping, you should first contact Code Enforcement at (405) 742-8297 or email Code Enforcement. Code Enforcement is a division of the Stillwater Police Department.

Code Enforcement staff will investigate. If they are able to identify who made the illegal dump, the City of Stillwater can fine the individual $260. If they cannot identify the offender, you are responsible for cleaning up the illegally dumped items.

If you would like the City of Stillwater to clean up your property, we will assess the situation and assign a fee for the service.

  • $20 per item is charged for furniture items, electronics or mattresses.
  • $40 is charged each time we have to dump the dumpster of trash.

As a commercial customer, you decide how many times per month the City of Stillwater services your dumpster. This monthly bill is only for trash that is placed in the dumpster. We will clean up any mess we make while servicing the dumpster at no additional charge.

If you would like the City to clean up around your dumpster, ask Utility and Billing Services about the additional fee.
