The Stillwater Public Library’s Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) will throw a tea party for teens (grades six through 12) on Friday, Jan. 16, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A variety of teas will be served along with cookies, bars and other goodies courtesy of Stillwater Sweets while teens unwind with a good book or project at the library. Registration is requested.
At the event, teens will get a mug that they can fill with their favorite flavors of tea, which will include black, green, jasmine, lemon and more. Sweeteners and cream will also be provided.
Jordan Stine, teen librarian, knows how well tea and reading go together, and wants to create a laid-back environment for teens to unwind before the semester gets hectic.
“TAC members really wanted to host an event where they could just sip tea and relax,” Stine said. “Everyone is welcome to read, of course, but we will also have some crafts available for those who want something else to do.”
