Summer Reading Program 2025: Color Our World
The theme for this year's summer reading program is art! The Stillwater Public Library offers a free summer reading program for all ages: kids (ages 0-5th grade), teens (6th- 12th grade), and adults (18+). Read to earn prizes and attend fun, free programs! Download a printable calendar.

- Register Now on Beanstack online, or download the app to sign up.
- Get your official summer reading t-shirt coupon - Stop by the library to sign up for summer reading (or after you registered online) and pick up your coupon to get a t-shirt printed with the SRP design for free at Chris' University Spirit. Both children's (2nd floor auditorium) and adult (3rd floor) Help Desks will have coupons.
- May 31- July 25: Start reading and track your time using Beanstack. And yes, EVERYTHING counts! Audiobooks, graphic novels, magazines, etc., all count! (Paper trackers can also be used in conjunction with Beanstack. Pick up paper trackers starting May 31. Or download and print your own)
Attend Events
The library will have weekly programs for kids and teens. Plus, various programs for adults and all ages.
- Kids (through 5th grade): Tuesday programs at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Stillwater Community Center and drop-in Thursday field trips 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at various locations.
- Teens (grades 6-12): Wednesday programs at 2 p.m.
- Adults & older teens (ages 16+): Days and times vary. Registration is required.
Earn Prizes
- Every 5 hours (300 minutes): All ages earn a small prize, including food coupons from local businesses, while supplies last. (Maximum of 10 coupons. After 50 hours, prizes will automatically be an extra grand prize entry.)
- At 10 hours (600 minutes): Kids earn a small prize and a free book. (Book pickup will begin on July 25.)
- At 15 hours (900 minutes): Teens earn a free book. (Book pickup will begin on July 25.)
- At 20 hours (1200 minutes): Adults earn a coupon for one free book from the Friends of the Library's fall used book sale (while supplies last).
- Grand Prize Drawing (Every 5 hours/300 minutes: Earn an entry in the grand prize drawing for every 5 hours read. Grand prizes will be awarded in each age group at the end of summer reading.
- Teens Top 30: The 30 teen summer reading program participants who read the most this summer will get invited to play laser tag on August 2. Attendance is by invite only.
Grand Prize Options
- Kids - one winner can choose from an Open Gym punch pass to Youth Fitness Zone, a gift card to a local art shop, studio, or class, a gift card to a local bookstore, or a LEGO set (value not to exceed $75)
- Teens - one winner can choose from a laptop, a video game system, or a gift card to a local bookstore (value not to exceed $300)
- Adults - four grand prizes will be given away, three $75 gift cards to a local business, and one set (of four tickets) to an OSU men's basketball home game.
Teen Volunteers
The library is looking for hard-working, motivated teen volunteers ages 13-18 to help with its summer reading program. Teen volunteers will help librarians with children's and teen programs. Register now!
