Badging & Access

Security badges and vehicle permits are required when entering the Airport Operations Area (AOA). Unbadged visitors must be escorted at all times.

To begin the badging process, you will need to complete a Stillwater Regional Airport ID Badge Application (PDF). You will first complete Section 2 as well as the Privacy Act acknowledgement on page 7. If you are applying for airport access to the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA), you will also need to complete Section 3 of the application.

Once you have completed the paperwork, your application will need to be reviewed and authorized by an authorized signatory. The authorized signatory will complete Section 1 of the application.

Return the application to the Stillwater Regional Airport badging office located in the airport administration building at 3304 N. Airport Industrial Access Road. Badging hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

If you do not know who your authorized signatory is, contact the Airport badging office at (405) 533-2222 for more information. If you are an Air Operations Area (AOA) tenant leasing hangar space at SWO, an airport badging office representative will serve as your authorized signatory.

Upon verification from your authorized signatory, you will need to stop by our office during business hours to begin badge intake.

Prior to arriving at the badging office, ensure that you have the following items:

  • Completed and legible badge application with authorized signatory approval
  • Valid documents from the list of acceptable documents (found on back of application)
  • Be aware that the security office will be taking a photo of you for your airport credentials
  • If you need vehicle access, make sure to bring proof of vehicle insurance

Once you’ve submitted your paperwork, you will be required to undergo a brief security training as well as driver training if applicable.

Background checks typically take 2-3 days. If you are applying for a SIDA badge, expect to wait at least 4-5 days. If you were born outside the U.S., background checks typically take 2-3 weeks to process. The Airport Security Coordinator will typically contact your employer if the process delays employment for any reason.

The airport badging office will contact you once your background check is complete and your badge is ready for pickup. Remember to display your badge at all times on the outermost layer of clothing and above the waist.

At SWO, security is everyone’s responsibility!
