(STILLWATER, OK) – On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at approximately 4 p.m., Stillwater Police Department (SPD) made an arrest for the murder of juvenile, Teedeenae “Jackson” Yearby. Jackson was first reported missing to SPD in February 2023. The suspect was identified as Quinlan Phipps, 19 of Stillwater. Phipps is currently in the Payne County Jail on a First Degree Murder charge.
On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, a joint operation involving officers and detectives from SPD, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Payne County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the recovery of human remains. These remains are believed to be related to the case of Jackson Yearby.
The recovered remains have been transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City for positive identification and cause of death determination. The investigation into this tragic event remains ongoing, and the SPD, along with partnering agencies, are committed to pursuing justice for Jackson Yearby and his loved ones.
