(STILLWATER, OK) – On Friday, July 21, 2023, at 10:27 a.m., Stillwater Police Department (SPD) responded to the wooded area in the 400 block of South Drury in reference to a found body. The victim was identified as Dylan Lewis, 28 of Stillwater.
SPD investigators identified Troy Driskel, 28 of Stillwater as a suspect in the case. Investigators were able to track down Driskel and executed a high risk search warrant in the area of 100 W. Mathews. Driskel was taken into custody without incident on Friday, July 21, 2023, at approximately 8:20 p.m.
SPD Investigators learned of a second suspect through witnesses and statements. The suspect was identified as John Helfrick JR, 31 of Stillwater. Helfrick was located and arrested on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at approximately 2:33 a.m.
Helfrick and Driskel are being charged with First Degree Murder.
