(STILLWATER, OK) – On Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 2:50 p.m., Stillwater Police Department (SPD) responded to the area of 200 S. Arrington in reference to a residential burglary in progress. The 911 dispatcher relayed to officers that the suspect was at the front door of a residence attempting to kick in the front door. Prior to officers arrival, dispatch advised the suspect entered the residence and fled out the back door. It was reported that the suspect was also armed with a handgun.
SPD officers arrived on scene shortly after the call and observed the suspect running southbound from the area in the alleyway. Other officers arrived on scene and were able to establish a perimeter. With the use of K9 Rotex, officers tracked and located, Tyler Zachary Zane Flint, in the backyard of a residence in the area of 300 S. Berry.
Flint was taken into custody and transported to the City of Stillwater Jail.
Due to the heavily wooded backyard, we had to request assistance from the City of Stillwater Operations division to clear brush to help locate evidence.
