(STILLWATER, OK) – On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 4:38 p.m., Stillwater Police Department (SPD) and Stillwater Fire Department (SFD) responded to Golden Oaks Village at 5505 W. 19th in reference to a drowning. The investigation revealed that Chris Hulsey, 65, of Stillwater was found in the pond near the facility.
It is unknown at this time how long he was in in the water. Staff was able to get Hulsey from the pond and onto shore and began lifesaving measures. Hulsey was pronounced dead on scene by medical staff.
The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and will determine the cause of death.
