Tax Form Preparation Assistance

AARP Free Tax Help at the Library

AARP tax assistance volunteers prepare taxes for free each year from February to April 15. There are no age or yearly income qualifications to participate in this program. (In 2024, appointments will run from Feb. 5 through April 8.)

  • AARP will be providing free tax help at the library this year by appointment ONLY (just like in recent years).
  • Please note that there are some types of returns the AARP cannot prepare. Click here for a guide about what Tax-Aide volunteers can and cannot do.
  • Intake appointments will take place on Mondays from 9:20 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. and last for approximately 20 min.
  • Once you have an appointment:
  • You will need to be available to pick up your completed taxes on Friday at the same time you had your intake appointment. (For example, if your intake appointment is Monday at 9:40 a.m., your pick-up appointment will be on Friday at 9:40 a.m.)
  • Get an appointment by clicking the button below. Then click on the "Activities" tab to view library sign-ups.
