The City of Stillwater's Watershed Quality Division conducts Spring and Fall Household Hazardous Waste Collection events at the Convenience Collection Center each year.
During these events, residents are encouraged to drop off household pollutants free of charge.
The City of Stillwater began sponsoring Household Hazardous Waste collection events in October of 1998. These events continue to help citizens reduce the amount of household pollutants in their homes while ensuring these pollutants are properly disposed of.
In conjunction with this event, the Convenience Collection Center will be open to receive for free: tires, antifreeze, automobile batteries, rechargeable batteries, scrap metal, and other everyday recyclables and for a fee: latex paint ($2/gallon; $7/5 gallon), fluorescent bulbs ($0.20/bulb), and motor oil ($0.20/gallon).”
For a complete list of items accepted with and without a fee, visit the Convenience Collection Center page.
