(Stillwater, OK) – Mayor Joyce and City Council voted unanimously to name Stillwater’s new City Manager, Kimberly Meek, the current City Manager of Duncan and previous city manager and finance director for the City of Guymon.
Meek brings more than a decade of city management experience with extensive background in municipal leadership, infrastructure projects, economic development, finance, employee administration, and day-to-day operations.
Mayor Joyce shared the importance of Council’s role and responsibilities to execute a thorough search and in Meek’s leadership moving forward.
“Throughout the past few months, we invested in a nationwide search to ensure the new city manager is the most qualified and best fit overall for our unique culture, rich history, and vibrant future. We are confident in Meek’s leadership – she will enrich Stillwater’s vision-forward momentum with existing developments such as Block 34, hotel and convention center, transportation projects, TIF initiatives and other economic development efforts to increase quality of life for our residents,” said Mayor Joyce.
Meek embraces the community’s revitalization and expressed excitement and respect for the tremendous work that has been and continues to be done in Stillwater.

Kimberly Meek will officially take the helm as Stillwater’s City Manager, start date is to be determined. The City will host a community meet and greet, more information will be provided soon.
