Community Center
The Community Center department manages the Stillwater Community Center and coordinates special events. The facility is available for public rental and can accommodate various activities, such as meetings, art shows, fundraisers, and private gatherings.
The Community Center has two general assembly areas, banquet facilities, breakout rooms, and other areas suitable for meeting and greeting. The facility has ample space to cater to events of different sizes, and our experienced staff are on hand to guide and assist you in organizing a successful event
About The Community Center
The Community Center is owned and managed by the City of Stillwater. It was built in the 1930s as the Stillwater Junior High and acquired by the city in 1991. Today, the Community Center offers 14 versatile, well-equipped rooms featuring the 710-seat Winfrey D. Houston Theater.

Stillwater Community Center Foundation
The Stillwater Community Center Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide resources for the Stillwater Community Center and mutually beneficial affiliates.
Our goal is to ensure accessibility, affordability and sustainability for use by residents and visitors of Stillwater and the surrounding area in support of public health and safety, the economy, the arts, and an inclusive community.

The City of Stillwater is committed to an inclusive approach to recreation and entertainment opportunities. Let staff members know if you have a need for reasonable accommodations. Special needs seating is available for guests with disabilities at the standard price per performance. Handicapped parking is available near the entrances to the building. The theater is equipped with ASSISTIVE listening system. Ask staff for more information about using this system.
- What is the camera policy?

For the safety of the performers, please don’t use flash photography. This includes cameras, video equipment or cell phones during performances.
- Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child?

Your child is required to purchase a ticket unless he or she is able to sit in your lap during the performance. If a reserved seat is preferred, a ticket must be purchased.
- Where can I park?

There are 96 free parking spaces surrounding the Community Center with additional free parking within easy walking distance from the Prairie Arts Center (1001 S. Duck) and the Stillwater Public Library (1107 S. Duck).
